"Saint John the Baptist" Church, NEGHINEŞTI–CACOVA, Commune STOENEŞTI (County VÂLCEA); 1819, painters: Partenie, John and Elijah

The church was founded by the community and it has a triconic plan. The original painting dates from 1819 and was done by Partenie the Monk, John and Elijah, painters of Teiuş. It was painted with different characters — philosophers, prophets, Sibyls, military saints — and rustic themes such as hunting, as well as landscapes, and aspects of monastic life.
